Senior Emergency Services Manager
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is seeking an experienced licensed clinician and Virginia Prescreen Certified candidate for the position of Senior Emergency Services Manager. This position is responsible for the supervision of the CSB’s Emergency Services programs that provide 24/7 mental health and substance abuse emergency services including the Crisis Intervention Team Assessment Center (CITAC), oversees the coordination of Local Inpatient Purchase of Services (LIPOS) and Mandatory Outpatient Treatment (MOT). The Senior Emergency Services Manager acts as a community liaison with our local hospital and law enforcement. The position requires the highest level of confidentiality, strong diagnostic and assessment skills, outstanding skills in problem solving and conflict resolution, and the ability to work effectively with other CSB service supervisors/coordinators and community providers in planning and implementing the emergency services system. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both in written and oral format. Early Intervention Clinician I/II
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our team of Early Intervention Clinicians (EIC) who provide a variety of clinical services and supports within our local schools. EIC services focus on working with at-risk students who are identified as needing in-school clinical support due to struggles with mental health, substance use, or difficult life circumstances. For these students an EIC will provide therapeutic support, linkage to resources in the community, and crisis/safety assessment as needed. Ideal candidates for this position will work from a person centered and trauma informed framework while also having a passion for working with a diverse group of students and staff within a school setting. This position is full-time, salaried, works within the 10 month school calendar and includes benefits like health insurance as well as enrollment in the Virginia Retirement System. Client Engagement Specialist II
HRCSB is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our clinical team as a Client Engagement Specialist. This full-time, salaried position will work closely with agency treatment providers to assist clients in accessing services, provide outreach following missed appointments, and crisis outreach as appropriate. Requires the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a treatment team skilled in providing brief supportive interventions to clients. Successful candidates will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Residential Relief Staff

HRCSB now has an opening for an hourly, part-time staff to provide direct services to the residents of CSB operated supervised residential program. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Relief staff work hours are primarily evenings and weekends. Duties include direct training and support to residents to improve their community living skills; supportive and/or educational counseling; crisis intervention; providing skill building activities to promote community integration. Assertive Community Treatment Supervisor
HRCSB is seeking a qualified individual to lead our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team as the Supervisor. This position’s primary responsibility is to create and oversee our ACT team and program, in coordination with the Director of Community Mental Health Services. Our ACT team, in a partnership with our Permanent Supportive Housing program, will provide community based wrap around services to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders who are in need of stable housing.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of adult and geriatric psychology in mental health and substance use disorders; knowledge of treatment planning for individuals having these problems; skills in assessing psychopathology; and experience with crisis intervention. Personnel supervisory experience is preferred. Supervision towards licensure is available.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in human services or related field plus three years of clinical experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent illnesses and co-occurring disorders is required. Professional licensure or Licensed Eligible in good standing with the state of Virginia is required (LPC, LPC-resident or LCSW, LCSW-supervisee).
General Advocate – Summit House
Summit House, a psychiatric rehabilitation program informed by the Fountain House Model, is seeking to hire a full-time general advocate to encourage recovery and community engagement for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Summit House gives members a place to learn skills, try new things and to increase social supports in a supportive environment. Staff and members (called clients in other settings) work side by side to prepare meals and snacks, complete clean up, environmental and maintenance tasks, gardening, landscaping, clerical support, social recreation activities and community integration opportunities for members of Summit House. Interventions used include skills training, staff demonstration, practice/role-plays, and feedback, as well as ongoing prompting and cueing. Role modeling of appropriate social and coping behaviors is an important aspect of the position.
The general advocate’s position primary responsibilities may include menu planning, ordering food, cooking, cleaning, gardening, clerical support, community integration activities, and social recreation activities and leading groups.
Group topics are at the discretion of the general advocate and the needs and wants of the members. Group focus may be psychoeducation, recreational, social or other areas focused on wellbeing and community integration. Some groups are member led.
Each general advocate will have primary responsibility for a specific caseload of members and documentation required by Virginia Medicaid regulations and DBHDS requirements. Documentation will include daily notes, treatment plans, quarterlies and discharges.
The right candidate will be passionate about working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to enhance their recovery and growth towards independence in the community. The ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential, as well as being able to offer person-centered and trauma-informed treatment approaches in the therapeutic milieu.
At a minimum, qualified candidates must be able to register as a QMHP-T (Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee). QMHP status preferred. Basic computer literacy and word processing skills required.

This position assists in creating a welcoming and safe space for residents to develop and enhance their skills in managing their psychiatric crisis, providing individual and group therapy, skill based groups, and community outings. Client Financial Services Specialist
Full-time, salaried position. Responsible for various reimbursement duties: Conducts financial interviews, sets fees for each client in accordance with the agency policy, completes fee agreement forms and processes fee appeals. Updates and verifies client information: financial/income, insurances, and personal contact. Assists in the collection procedures of client overdue accounts. ACT Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist
HRCSB is seeking a qualified individual to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team as the Co-occurring Disorders Specialist.
