CSU Clinician-Halftime

Arbor House is seeking a half-time, Salaried Clinician to provide direct services to the residents of the CSB Crisis Stabilization Program. Services provided include intake assessments; individual and group therapy, making recommendations/suggestions in the development of treatment plans that address the needs of the resident’s treatment during their stay, and needed referrals and services upon discharge. This position exercises independence in decision-making, and requires expertise in mental health treatment, diagnoses, intervention and assessment with adults whose needs may be difficult to meet. Position requires basic knowledge of mental illness and substance abuse issues; ability to provide effective supportive counseling and behavior management techniques. Licensed Mental Health Professional–type (LMHP-type), licensure preferred. Valid Virginia driver’s license required.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Drug Court

Seeking an individual to be a peer provider who has lived experience with addiction and/or mental illness and is in active recovery. The peer will provide peer support services to individuals with substance use or co-occurring substance use/mental health concerns who are involved in our local Drug Court Treatment Program. Preferred candidate would have personal experience with Drug Court.
Requires Peer Certification or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Will need a valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record. This is a 12 month, full-time position with benefits.

Residential Hourly Staff

Looking for an hourly position that fits around your current school or work schedule? Would you like to earn hours towards credentialing in the Mental Health field? HRCSB now has an opening for an hourly, part-time staff to provide direct services to the residents of CSB operated community-based residential program. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Hourly staff work hours are reoccurring scheduled shifts primarily evenings and weekends. Duties include direct training and support to residents to improve their community living skills; supportive and/or educational counseling; crisis intervention; providing activities with residents to promote community integration. Position requires working knowledge of mental illness and/or substance abuse; and the ability to work effectively with clients and service providers in the community. Valid Virginia driver’s license and good driving record required. Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field is preferred. Position open until filled.

Emergency Services On-Call Clinician

Provide crisis intervention, information, referral and/or pre-admission screening for emergency hospitalization to individuals by telephone or face-to face who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse emergency.
This position will be only on a PRN basis during evening hours, weekend and holidays. Must have a Master’s Degree in Human Services or related specialty, plus two years experience in a mental health, intellectual disabilities or substance abuse setting. Training will be provided.
